Magazine Heaven!

Both arrived in the mailbox on the same day!  Time to mix a Martini and take a seat in the easy chair for some fun reading.

Too Cool

Thanks to a friend in Portland who Instagram’ed this.  We should all look to adopt Rescue Ukuleles!

Coming to Sacramento! Joe Bonamassa and Ukulele Rob!

OK, so not exactly on the same bill.  But you can take in both of us on the same evening!

Here’s the deal:  Joe will be performing at Sacramento’s Memorial Auditorium, 8:00 o’clock Wednesday night May 6th.  (Tickets at  If you haven’t been to one of Joe’s shows before, this one would be a great introduction.)  Across the street at the World Famous Torch Club ( it’ll be Sandra Dolores’ weekly Acoustic Open Mic from 5:30 to 8:00.  In honor of Joe’s visit to town, Sandra will be presenting an All Feature Act show in lieu of her regular two-song sign-up, and among the featured acts will be The Ukulele Rob Trio + 2.  We’ll be on for thirty minutes, starting at 6:30 p.m., so you’ll have lots of time to enjoy our show and still get to Joe’s gig in plenty of time.  We’ll be doing blues, pop, and some classic Great American Songbook.  Hope to see you there!

By the way, do I remind you of Joe?  Would it help if I got a double-neck uke?

The question is not …

… “Should I buy one?”  It’s “How soon can I get one?” Luna’s new retro-50s Martini-themed uke:

Way cool.

By the way, for those of you who missed out “Verte Fe’e Cabaret Goes To The Emerald Isle” show last weekend, the Green Valley Theatre crew will be back it it May 29 and 30.  Make your plans now!
